Symbolic Landscapes: A Poetry Workshop

Register by October 18! On Saturday, October 25, Danielle Dubrasky will be conducting a day-long creative writing workshop entitled “Symbolic Landscapes: A Poetry Workshop” at the Zion Canyon Community Center. Long time Z-Arts members will recall that Ms. Dubrasky ran a poetry workshop several years ago; this workshop will be similar is spirit, but with new material and insight. Attendees will be both writing and reading their work, and Ms Dubrasky will also be reading.

The workshop will be held from 10am in the morning to 3pm in the afternoon. There will also be a one-hour lunch break. Attendees should bring pens and a notebook.

The workshop will be limited to 20 attendees. Workshop fees are $20.00 for Z-Arts members, $25.00 for non-members. Registration is required; To register online with credit card or PayPal use the form below:

Danielle DubraskyDanielle Beazer Dubrasky is currently the Associate professor of Creative Writing at Southern Utah University. She is the author of Persephone Awakened, a chapbook of poems designed by book artist Sue Cotter of Woodhenge Press. She is a two-time recipient of the Utah Arts Council First Place Award for Poetry: first in 2006 for a book-length collection of poems entitled To Live Elsewhere, and in 2012 for The Sandman. Her poetry has been published in ECOllective, Tar River Poetry, Weber Studies, Petroglyph, Dialogue and other places. She has collaborated with choreographers, composers, and visual artists in performances of her poetry. Danielle grew up in Charlottesville , Virginia . She has a master’s degree in English from Stanford University, and a PhD from the University of Utah’s Creative Writing program.
