“Jump the Moon,” a Utah Arts & Museums Traveling Exhibition Program, from January 6, 2024, through February 6, 2024, at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale. This exhibition features works from class participants at Jump the Moon, a nonprofit organization providing assistive art-making devices, art mentorship, and creative opportunities for people with disabilities or “diverse abilities,” as favored by the group.
A life-threatening accident greatly enhanced Michael J. Bingham’s awareness and understanding of disabilities. Having been able to fully recover from a broken neck, brain bleed, and other injuries that forced him to be dependent on others, Bingham was even more motivated to serve others with compassion and insight.
