Z-Arts Annual Holiday Gala

Come and celebrate the season with wine, dinner and dancing to the sounds of Oysters Rockefeller!

Oysters Rockefeller consists of Harry “O” on guitar and vocals, Elaine Stoddard on bass, Mike Multon on sax and Gordon Strang on drums.
Gordon Strang/Drums:  Drummer, Strang has played with a variety of local acts including the Honky Tonk Heroes, Jared and the Jackpines, Carlie Wall, Carolyn Murset and Less Than Lucid, Beans and Wheels among others.  While his contributions as a drummer are numerous, Strang often stays in the background at gigs, letting the other musicians take the spotlight. Because of that, he’s probably most visible throughout Southern Utah as a promoter and organizer.

Mike/Sax: is an accomplished musician dedicating 40 plus years on guitar, mandolin, saxophone, vocals, and various world instruments. Has been performing since the age of 13 in many genres of music.

Elaine/Bass: Started her music career on keyboards, back-up vocals, and bass guitar in various Salt Lake City musical projects. Started playing professionally at the age of 18.

Last but not least, the band leader, Harry”O”/Guitar and Vocals:  Oysters Rockefeller guitarist Harry “O”, was born in New York City in 1950 and was raised in Harlem. At the age of 13, he taught himself how to play guitar. By the 1970’s, Harry “O” was a regular at the East Village blues jams being held at Broadway Charlie’s and Dan Lynch’s; sitting in with some of New York’s better known blues guitarists such as, Jonathan Kalb and Jon Paris. In 1978, he joined The New York Sound Exchange, one of many show/dance bands in which he played over the years, working various hotel lounges 6 nights/week/48 weeks a year, all over the country. In 1994 after a 2 year stint with Sun recording artist Eddie Snow, he formed Oysters Rockefeller, originally a hard working Blues and R&B based Band and of late a R&B/Classic RnR Dance band.
