Bruce started in the restaurant business in 1958 at Finns Restaurant in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Since then, he has founded, owned, and operated a number of restaurants. A trained professional chef with an advanced degree from La Vareene, Paris, Bruce has created over 30 area restaurants. On moving to Zion Canyon, he opened Zion Pizza & Noodle Company with his sons.

Bruce began painting in 2002, wanting to find an activity equally challenging to fulfill his creative skills in retirement. He approached good friends, Kate Starling and Deb Durban who took him out plein air painting. Kate told him he needed to use bigger brushes and large canvases. Bruce’s passion became abstract landscapes.

As part of his commitment to the community, Bruce served as Mayor for the Town of Springdale from January 2002 through December of 2005.
