Poem-Junior: Canyon Voices

Canyon Voices
Mia Saarelainen

Can you hear the music

Through all the rustling leaves?

Can you feel the love inside you

Just waiting to come free?

Can you see the sunrise

Casting radiant beams?

Can you see the many colors?

Can you see the hopeful dreams?

Can you smell the misty river,

That rages on forever?

Can you feel red rock beside you

As you start on your endeavor?

Can you climb the tallest mountains,

Accomplish any deed?

Can you taste the summer sweetness?

Can this fit your every need?

Can you hear your spirit laughing

Amid the morning dew?

Can you hear what you are whispered?

Can you do what you can do?

Can you behold all of the beauty

Of blue skies, rock, and trees?

Can you sing with those before you,

Can you hum along with the bees?

Can you hear the music

Through all the rustling leaves?

Can you feel the love inside you

Just waiting to come free?
