STRIFE / PEACE

“Strife/Peace: The Art of Suffering”, A show of watercolors and pastels by Gloria Charles will be on display at the Canyon Community Center in Springdale Utah, from April 17 to May 26, 2012. In describing her motivation for the exhibit, the artist stated:

After caring for my mother until she died, I was unable to resume my former life. Grief and remorse were amplified by the anger, hopelessness and sorrow I felt about the current political and environmental situations. I proposed this show as a way to work through these unmanageable feelings by “getting them down on paper”. These were emotions that HAD to be expressed somehow and I am grateful for the outcome.
