Annual Juried Show – Call For Submissions

CANYON COMMUNITY CENTER ANNUAL JURIED SHOW

Z-Arts! and the Canyon Community Center would like to invite artists to submit to the 2012 Annual Juried Show. The exhibit has been moved to the Summer and this year we will have a theme: ‘BEAUTY AND THE EYE’.

We’ve all heard the old adage, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” Indeed. Beauty is not only in the grand and epic scale of the landscape we live in; it can be found in the mundane, the routine of everyday, or in almost any situation or setting. One just has to look for it. Beauty can also be consciously made from the ugly, the recycled, or gathered from other seemingly ordinary elements. It can be captured in a photograph, a drawing, the construction of a dimensional object, or sewn, ripped or constructed as something to wear, or something to behold. We invite you to use your imagination in submitting your ideas of beauty.
